The Inlet Seafood Restaurant in Montauk was the location for a fishermen’s roundtable on Sunday, attended by their Congressional advocate, New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. A number of Montauk residents are not happy with elected officials. The group consists of around 100 people and they are considering recalling their votes for East Hampton Town Supervisor Bill Wilkinson and Councilwoman Theresa Quigley. The group apparently doesn't know yet how they can recall their votes, but they know it has been done in California. They believe neither Wilkinson, nor Quigley are working in the best interests of the residents who voted for them. Continue Reading

The East Hampton Press reports that Thomas Solheim was arrested this week in connection with the 1992 murder of James Alan Horton, a 22-year-old sailor. Horton was beaten and shot. Horton's mother says her son saw Solheim on the ship in a compromising position with another man and Horton was alter kidnapped and killed. Continue Reading
