Veterans Appreciation & War History Day at Buffalo History Museum, November 10


The Buffalo History Museum and Shea’s Performing Arts Center have collaborated on a unique celebration that invites the public to Veteran arthonor our war veterans today and throughout history. The event will primarily focus on the War of 1812 and World War I – the period in which the Shea’s production of WAR HORSE is set.

Guests will enjoy :

“By Fire & Sword: War in the Niagara Theatre 1812-1814” –  the  most modern and interactive exhibit  to date. Google Nexus tablets will use military re-enactments and green screen technology to guide guests through the nearly two and a half year campaign.

“Star Spangled Nation” Produced by the American Society of Marine Artists, this gallery show features a series of paintings depicting the War of 1812 done by contemporary artists.
